Who we are
SFCAFU, Local 7965, is the recognized collective bargaining representative for covered adjunct faculty at St. Francis College and is affiliated with NYSUT, AFT, NEA, and AFL-CIO.
We represent bargaining-unit members in matters involving the collective bargaining agreement and workplace concerns.
Our union is governed democratically and works to encourage meaningful participation by adjunct faculty.
We work to advance professional standards, fair treatment, and conditions that support effective teaching.
Our purpose
Our Constitution centers the interests of students and education, effective working conditions for adjunct faculty, fair compensation and benefits, democratic participation, solidarity, and opposition to racism and discrimination.
